Ludlow passed to Roger Mortimer through his marriage to Joan de Geneville.

I've been to Ludlow Castle. It's well worth a visit. I know more about later history of it . It was usual for the Prince of Wales to take up residence there to have experience of governing with Wales. Prince Arthur died there in 1502 and was buried in Worcester cathedral - he has a fine chantry there.

I have dozens and dozens of pics of Ludlow Castle, Anerje, so if you'd like to see more, just let me know. I posted a few on the blog a while ago, too.

In the middle pic, with the blue van, the top part of the building to the left of the stairs is called Prince Arthur's Chamber.
